“I don’t even know where to begin with Ellie- she is incredible as a teacher, a mentor, a motivator, and much more. Not only is Ellie an extremely gifted teacher, knowing how best to enhance a lesson on a late Monday evening to an hour of positivity, striving for the best musicality and dance each person has to offer, and hammering in intricate techniques and choreography, she is one of the most eloquent dancers I have ever had the pleasure of watching, and her critic and expertise is valued. Following hip injury, surgery and consequently a break from ballet, my greatest motivator was Ellie. The thought of learning Grade 8 after having lost all of my technique and ability was daunting, let alone thinking about passing it. However, regardless of how hard it was Ellie was there every step of the way, spending hours of her time retraining me and teaching me what it was to dance again. Getting a distinction in Grade 8 is something I could have only dreamed about at the time, but Ellie was there to push me and keep me positive, and because of this I achieved what I didn’t think was possible. I couldn’t have wished for a better teacher to show and share with me what ballet and the art of performing really is.“
